What is your destination?
Is your destination nowhere? Do you know what will happen after you die?
The Bible is clear. You can know your destination
“These things have I written unto you… that ye may know that ye have eternal life,” (I Jn 5:13)
Know God Loves You
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son,
that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have
everlasting life.” (John 3:16)
No matter who you are or what you have done, the God of heaven loves you and has a plan for your life.
Know God Hates Sin
“For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all
ungodliness and unrighteousness of men, who hold the truth in
unrighteousness;” (Rom 1:18).
God loves you immensely and His standard is perfection or “godliness.” Are you like Him in every area of your life? If you are not like Him, His wrath is against your lifestyle, your way of life and your sin.
Know You Are a Sinner.
“As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one: There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God. They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.” (Rom 3:10-12)
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;” (Rom 3:23)
These verses clearly state that not only am I a sinner along with the whole world, but you are. You must realize and admit your sinful condition to a Holy God that loves you, but abhors your sin.
Know the Penalty for Sin
“For the wages of sin is death” (Rom 6:23a)
The payment that you freely deserve because of your sin is death. The judgment place for sin is the lake of fire.
“And the sea gave up the dead which were in it; and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them: and they were judged every man according to their works. And death and hell were cast into the lake of fire. This is the second death. And whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire.” (Rev 20:13-15).
Know the Lord Jesus Christ Paid Your Debt
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
“For scarcely for a righteous man will one die: yet peradventure for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commendeth his love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” (Romans 5:7-8)
The penalty for your sin was death, but the Lord Jesus Christ, the King of glory paid the debt you owed by dying on the cross. He did this so you could be freed from the penalty you owed.
Place Your Faith in What You Now Know
“That if thou shalt confess with thy mouth the Lord Jesus, and shalt believe in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be saved. For with the heart man believeth unto righteousness; and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation. For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord, shall be saved. (Romans 10:9-10, 13)
“Believe on the Lord Jesus Christ, and thou shalt be saved.” (Acts 16:31)
You must ask forgiveness for your sins and believe in Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior. This faith is not just knowledge that Jesus came and died, but you are placing your faith in Him and His finished work on the cross. This saving faith is one that repents of trusting in self and works to get them to heaven. You believe that you are a sinner in need of forgiveness and place your faith in the Lord Jesus Christ for salvation. You are believing that He died for you and that He arose for you.
You can know you have eternal life and a destination. You can know your destination is with Him and not a place called hell. Your sin separates you from a loving and holy God. Trust in Christ today for a life that is truly worth living.
